Here are the girls
Cat Tails is, as I’m sure you know, about the two cats that I live with, Cleopatra and Bast. (seen to the right).
Yes, these two really do exist, and they are just as silly in person as they are in the comic. One time, for instance, Cleo climbed into an empty soda-can box. She frequently finds boxes or other small places to be to hide in. Apparently she likes the small spaces!

I started writing Cat Tails mostly to see if I could. I came up with the style of art based off of an advertisement that I had seen online at one point. From there, I figured out the cats, the rest of the people in the comic, and what the comic would be about.
The first thing I thought of when I thought of the cats was how cats always seem to put their butts in your face when they’re on your lap or on a table in-front of you. No matter how many times you try to push them one way or another, they always put their butts back into your face, as if wanting you to sniff them. This, obviously was the thought behind the first comic. It went downhill from there.
